According to a statement posted online by the MCSO, first responders were summoned to the Skywalk around 9:00 am on Monday.

“Two short-range technicians (rope specialists) traveled to the scene in a Kingman DPS Ranger helicopter and determined the man was deceased,” the MCSO said in a statement.

“He was taken to a command post and transferred to Hualapai Nation. An investigation is ongoing.”

It is unclear whether the man fell off the actual skywalk structure or the rim of the canyon.

It is also unclear whether he acted deliberately.

The Mojave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue posted a statement on social media saying, “If you or anyone needs help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-TALK (8255). .”
