A large bear broke into a Colorado home on Wednesday, stole a pork chop and escaped, according to the New York Post.

The hungry bear decides to make himself comfortable in someone’s house, but this time he chooses pork chops instead of porridge. according to to the New York Post. Neighbor Heidi Hanna documented how this fluffy friend escaped with “booty” through a second-story window in Steamboat Springs and was trapped in one of the home’s upstairs bedrooms. The newspaper reported that Hannah called the police when she realized the owner was not inside the house.

The bear repeatedly tried to crawl out the window, but was too high to land safely. A police officer then opened the master bedroom door, where the bear was trapped. The beast immediately went downstairs and returned to the forest through the first window it entered.

“He put his fingernails in there, ripped out the window, went in, ate the pork chops I had out for dinner that night, took snacks out of the pantry, knocked over the plants. That’s so funny. It wasn’t a big deal,” said Ryan McFarlane, the owner of the home, when he learned of the hilarious story.

McFarlane was grateful that the unexpected intruder was a “respectful house guest” after all.
