Chris LencioniThe Bellator MMA fighter suffered cardiac arrest in early June and is “currently in ICU during his biggest fight to date,” his family announced Monday.
and go fund me According to the post, Rencioni’s family said he suffered a medical accident on June 8 and is still in hospital. His family set up Mr. Lencioni’s page to raise money for financial assistance.
“On June 8th Chris went into cardiac arrest,” the description read. “As you can imagine, this was completely unexpected considering he is still 28 and in top shape. We believe in the goodness of God and we don’t know anyone with more willpower, strength and determination than Chris, who has already been through so much in his life, but we know him. I believe in my ability to overcome any obstacle.”

“Chris has had a huge impact on his life and the people in his community. Chris is a natural entertainer and his MMA personality is a lot of fun to watch.
“He loves working with children and allows them to participate in tournaments and Brazilian jiu-jitsu training in his gym, regardless of their ability to pay. He has always spoken of the importance of mentoring and being there to support children in need.His gym and children’s programs are his passion projects.”
Former MMA fighter Chel Sonnen sent his thoughts and prayers to Lencioni’s family.
He was nicknamed Sunshine because he was always in a cheerful and joyful mood. This is a young man who has spent his life preparing for battle, and seems to have just found it.

Portland native Lencioni is a featherweight Bellator star.
