Maricopa County, Arizona — A body was found Monday morning in a pile of campfires in a remote area of Maricopa County.

Deputies from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office arrived around 7 a.m. after someone reported finding a body in a pile of campfires near Bulldog Canyon, just east of Route 99 and Lost Dutchman State Park. said to have been notified. KTVK.
The body was found in a remote area of the Tonto National Forest. Kuzaz report.
The sheriff’s office could not confirm whether the bodies were burned in a bonfire and could not provide further details about the condition of the bodies. KTVK.

“I think investigators are always a little more conservative and lean towards homicide and start by taking precautions against it,” Hillman said. KTVK. “Usually if it’s an accident or something close to it, it’s very obvious, yeah, usually investigators say so. So there may be signs of foul play,” Hillman said.
Neighbors in the area where the bodies were found said: Kuzaz The area is “overrun with homeless people, drug users and criminals,” he said. They said they had witnessed disturbing activity in the area, but not enough patrols.
