PHOENIX — A multi-agency sting operation based in the Valley has arrested 13 people on charges of various sex-related crimes, officials said Tuesday.
The two-day operation targeted adults who attempted to engage in illicit sex with children in Chandler and neighboring cities. chandler police station Said.
Police said the investigation identified and arrested offenders of 30 sex-related felonies in an effort to prevent and deter crimes that could result in minor victims.
Drugs and firearms were also seized during the operation.
Mesa, Gilbert, Phoenix, Queen Creek, and Grove Police Departments joined the operation with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security Bureau of Investigation, and the FBI.
