A 16-month-old girl died in Cleveland, Ohio, according to the Cleveland Public Records Center. Her mother allegedly left the girl in her home for 10 days without arranging for her care.
public record Police and paramedics responded to a call on June 16 at 3129 West 97th Street, where they found the girl and pronounced her dead.
The boy was taken to the Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office for “further examination and investigation.” An investigation found that baby Jaelyn was “neglected and neglected for about 10 days and then died.” according to To NBC News. The girl’s mother, Christel Candelario, 31, was arrested by police on June 17 after returning from a trip to Puerto Rico and Detroit, according to NBC News. She has been charged with murder.

Neighbors claimed that Candelario had previously asked to help look after Jaylin, according to NBC News. They couldn’t explain why she didn’t ask for help this time.
“Jaylyn couldn’t stand what happened to her. She’s amazing, she’s so lovely and I miss her so much,” said a 13-year-old boy from the neighborhood.
The newspaper said it was not yet clear whether Mr. Candelario remained as a lawyer or was appointed as a lawyer.
