Curtchiner Caverns State Park lost power Thursday afternoon and was forced to open to the public after wildfires raged near the park in Cochise County.
According to the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Administration, the 620-square-meter postfire threatened multiple structures, forcing evacuation orders and road closures just 11 miles southwest of Benson.
The police began updating information about the fire at 2:30 p.m., but did not disclose how the fire broke out.
Five men, 12 engines, a large air tanker, a super large air tanker, and a helicopter were assigned to call wildfires, according to the Arizona Forestry and Fire Service.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office issued an evacuation order around 3:00 p.m.

The Arizona Department of Transportation closed State Route 90 between Interstate 10 and State Route 82 in both directions.
