Pro-life activists gathered at the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday to mark the one-year anniversary of the Roe v. Wade overturn.
According to SFLA, several pro-life organizations, including Students for Life of America and Live Action, sponsored the “National Celebrate Life Day” event in Washington, DC. website. The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in its June 2022 ruling. Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case.

As noted on the SFLA website, among the speakers were former Vice President Mike Pence, President of Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action, Kristan Hawkins, and Live It included the chairman of Action Lyra Rose.
“Life-saving efforts continue across America, winning hearts and minds through the principle, compassion and dedication of all who are here,” Pence said at the event. “So, as we celebrate this wonderful new anniversary, let us resolve here to work and pray as never before to advance the cause of life and the laws of the land in every state of America.”
Protesters showed up at the Lincoln Memorial around the same time as the rally, holding placards reading “Access to Abortion Saves Lives” and “Equal Rights for All.”

“Early this morning, in honor of the one-year anniversary of the Roe-Wade comeback, Students for Life of America (SFLA) announced a joint event with co-hosts 40 Days for Life, Live Action, and the Pro League. hosted the National Celebrate Life Day Rally at the Life Partners Foundation,” SFLA said.
