Tusayan’s annual Fourth of July fest a “Tribute to the West” | Williams-Grand Canyon News

Tusayan, Arizona — Tusayan’s annual Independence Day is back in style, featuring a family-friendly atmosphere that locals and visitors alike will enjoy.

The festival takes place on the north side of the IMAX theater grounds and begins around 3:15 PM. There will be food and drink, games and a bike decoration contest for kids starting at 3:30pm. It is also silent. Auctions, cornhole tournaments, parades and Native American dancers entertain the crowd.

Live music from local favorites Exit 64 and Juniper Hill kicks off at 5:30 p.m., with America’s Got Talent Season 5 winner and perennial favorite Michael Grimm performing at the annual event To do.

Live fireworks are always a hit or miss in a town surrounded by federal forests, so Tusayan has wowed visitors with high-impact drone shows for the past few years. Performances start at 8:30pm and she starts at 9:30pm, so don’t miss it.

Always patriotic, the drone show also includes images from Tusayan’s partners and inspiration from his western Arizona roots.
