City of Williams gears up for exciting patriotic events | Williams-Grand Canyon News

Williams, Arizona — Williams is gearing up for two highly anticipated events to celebrate Independence Day. The City of Williams annual Independence Day Parade and Habitat for Humanity Grand Opry will bring a wave of patriotism and fun to the community.

On July 4th, residents and visitors are invited to participate in the annual Independence Day Parade in the City of Williams. The festivities begin at 2pm and the parade route follows the iconic historic Route 66. The theme of this year’s parade is “It’s America,” celebrating the spirit of the nation and what America is all about. Audiences can expect vibrant displays of floats, music, and community organizations that proudly showcase American pride. The parade promises to be a visual treat for all ages and a great way to mark Independence Day.

Prior to the Independence Day Parade, Habitat for Humanity will host its annual Grand Opry on July 1 from 12:30pm to 5:00pm. The event will be held at the Babbitt Polson Community Stage and parking lot at 200 West Railroad Avenue.

Visitors can check out craft shows, observe animals at the petting zoo, and see talented musical artists. There will also be carnival games, live auctions and cake walks.

Admission tickets to the Habitat for Humanity Grand Opry will be available for purchase at the venue. Adult tickets are $10, children (up to 14) and seniors are $5.
