SAFORD — The Graham County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the appointment of Desiree Schnell and Lois Huntbell to its board of directors.
I am very pleased to welcome Desiree Schnell and Lois Huntbell to the Graham County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Desiree’s achievements in the fashion and social media industries, along with her entrepreneurial expertise, make her a valuable resource. Royce brings extensive experience in nonprofit management and business as owner of Roycycled Treasures.

Lois Huntbell
Hunt-Bell is the owner and founder of Roycycled Treasures, an international company based in Safford. She specializes in the design and manufacture of paper used in the art of decoupage and is sold worldwide including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and France. She also designs and manufactures stencils used in crafts.
In addition to her business activities, Huntbell also runs a successful YouTube channel where she shares tutorials and demonstrations on upcycling furniture and upholstery using decoupage, paint and other crafts. She is known for her expertise in the field, frequently giving her live appearances and workshops to teach others best practices for upcycling.
Prior to starting Roycycled Treasures, Hunt-Bell dedicated a 13-year career as Executive Director of SEACUS (Southeast Arizona Community Unique Service). SEACUS is responsible for running senior centers and drive-by meal programs in Graham and Greenlee counties. Prior to working with SEACUS, Mr. Huntbell also worked for the Arizona Department of Economic Security.
Participating in and giving back to the community are important values at Huntbell. She has served on the United Way in Graham and Greenlee Counties, the Arizona Community Foundation in Gila Valley, the University Extension Office Advisory Board, the Graham/Greenlee Transportation Coordination Board in SEAGO, and the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I have volunteered on several committees within the community. , among others.
Huntbell is proud to be from Safford and has strong ties to the local community. She graduated from Safford High School and she is still an active member of the community. She is married to radio personality David Bell, with whom she has four sons and one grandson.
Desiree Schnell
Schnell is a dynamic and accomplished person who has made great strides in both fashion and social media. The 29-year-old is widely known as a prominent figure within her community.
Schnell is the proud owner of Josie James Co., a thriving local clothing store that also operates online. With her strong passion for fashion and her entrepreneurial acumen, she has successfully merged her own interests into the success of her business ventures. Additionally, Schnell has established herself as an influencer on her TikTok, amassing over 250,000 followers. On her TikTok platform, she shares her expertise on fashion and health-related content, showcasing her knowledge and engaging with her audience.
Outside of his professional career, Schnell said he treasures his nearly nine-year marriage to Tommy Schnell, who works for the Bureau of Land Management. They have her two beautiful children, 6-year-old Sawyer and her 2-year-old Josie, who bring them immense joy and pride.
Schnell recently completed participation in the Gila Valley Leadership Program. This experience provided valuable insight and connections within the community. The program was a transformational one for her, she said, and she enthusiastically accepted the invitation to join her on the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Schnell is excited about this new journey for her, she said, with her unique perspective and her determination to contribute her entrepreneurial spirit to the growth and prosperity of Graham County.
