Richards said he and his brother came up with the band’s name, as opposed to Teasdale, who said he created the name by randomly combining emojis on his keyboard.
According to The Times, the singer-songwriter co-wrote “Oh No” and “Too Late Now” and said he was determined to be credited on both songs.
“I feel intimidated trying to approach this subject. But I wrote [on those songs] And they are on record. So I should probably be recognized,” he said.
He also revealed that breaking up the band was not his choice.
“I was really upset about it, actually,” he told The Times.
