SAFFORD – Do you have unsightly trash around your house that you want to take to the landfill? Why not dispose of it for free?
For County Improvement, Safford County, Thatcher County, Pima County and Graham County have joined forces to sponsor the City of Safford Landfill at 2755 N. Safford Landfill Rd. We are hosting two Community Pride Days a year from Thursday, June 8th through Saturday, June 10th from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
During this time, anyone can bring one piece of trash to the landfill for free, whether you live in Safford, Thatcher, Pima or anywhere else in the county. To avoid the $10 fee, be sure to tarp your luggage. Also, be sure to bring proof of residency. Otherwise you will be charged. Of course, you can’t bring dangerous goods and ID is required.
Landfills do not waive fees for commercial carriers or commercial businesses.Landscaping, logging, RV parks, etc.
Safford residents are always allowed one truck per month to go to the landfill for free. You must bring a Safford City utility bill that matches the address on your driver’s license to redeem this offer.
So get together, clean up your neighborhood, and take advantage of the Safford Regional Landfill’s free trash day.
The landfill’s opening hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Community Pride Day will be held from Thursday, June 8 to Saturday, June 10.
The landfill is closed on Sundays.
