KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) – Evacuation orders have been lifted for minorities in western Arizona affected by wildfires.
The Mojave County Sheriff’s Office has notified people who had to leave six homes in the Red Wing Canyon area late Thursday that they can return.
The fire department said fires 13 miles (21 km) north of Kingman were 45 percent contained, allowing firefighters to form a perimeter around the entire blaze.
New York City police said a tour bus driver had been ticketed for running a red light and crashing into a public bus. Eighteen people were taken to hospital in the clashes.
