NBA legend Dennis Rodman added fresh ink to his already tattooed body on Thursday, slamming a portrait of his girlfriend’s face into his cheek.

Rodman chose Van Johnson of the “Black Ink Crew” to execute the new design. The tattoo occupies the entire side of his right cheek.

“He was a champion, he got through it,” Johnson said. TMZ. “Quite coincidentally, he loves the girl with all her heart.”

Johnson posted a video on Instagram showing Rodman and his girlfriend celebrating their new art. She made a fuss about the fact that an accurate image of her own face is shown in Rodman’s image. The video captured a close-up of Rodman, who seemed equally thrilled with his new look. The two poured drinks and seemed enamored with each other.

Throughout the video, Johnson wrote, “Start your legacy when God favors you.”

He captioned the post, “I didn’t overdo it today, chilled out in my townhome, got his lady’s living legend face tattooed on my face, that’s all…” What do you do?

Fans had a lot to say, mostly negative.

Shortly after the video was posted, haters surfaced, denouncing Rodman’s “strange” behavior and tattoo choices.

“His girlfriend was supposed to be against it. Her inability to stop him acting shows her immaturity,” one person wrote.
