A Maryland state trooper was arrested on July 7 and charged with possession of child pornography after investigators were directed to her home after being tipped off online, according to the Maryland Police Department. indicted for a crime.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for Mr. Black’s residence. On June 16, members of the Maryland Police Department Computer Crime Division conducted an authorized search of the premises. Investigators seized the computer, analyzed it, and found evidence of child pornography, the statement said. Black is a 21-year veteran of the division and a sergeant assigned to the Northeast Barracks. He was suspended on pay after his arrest on July 7 pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation, the release said.
