San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Asked Monday about his comments that the Niners lost the NFC Championship to the Philadelphia Eagles due to injury, the superstar abruptly ended a radio interview as a result.

Back in May, the Pro Bowler said he was a rookie quarterback. Brock Purdy injured elbow San Francisco lost because they struggled early in the conference championship game.

But when asked about the comment during an interview on CBS Sports Radio’s “The Zach Gelb Show,” Samuel wasn’t interested in talking about it.

When asked if he still believed what he said, Samuel replied, “I do.” “But we’re not going to keep talking about it. I said what I said.”

Gelb added more pressure, asking Samuel about his reception in Philadelphia, where the Eagles hosted the 49ers. December 3rdand then Samuel seemingly hung up.

Samuel’s agent then answered the phone and said, “Okay, I’m ready,” adding that the 49ers star is “going to camp right now.”

And that’s what drove Zach Gelb into an epic rant.

“We were hung up on because we were just asking him about the quarterback situation and the situation in Philadelphia. And they called Deebo Samuel? That’s a joke, really. It’s a joke,” Gelb roared.

This is a perfect example of “if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”

Zach Gelb asked Deebo Samuel a perfectly fair question. After all, it was Debo who said it, and he just said it a few months ago, so there’s nothing wrong with what Gelb did here. But as we heard, Deebo didn’t give Gelb anything…or did he?

Of course I did. And Gelb clearly knows what he’s doing. In response to Deebo’s question, Deebo just hung up (Lemon), but instead of getting cranky about it like so many other radio and TV hosts, he fully utilized it as content and I threw that beautiful rant (lemonade).
