NBC News reported Friday that pizza boxes were linked to the serial murders of three women found dead in Gilgo Beach in 2010 by a Long Island man.

Heuermann is also accused of using multiple “fictional email addresses, fictitious identities and burner phones,” including Barthélemy’s mobile phone, which he allegedly used to tease his missing teenage sister. The report points out that Houermann is accused of recruiting sex workers, including three victims, and authorities believe he may strike again. Authorities found a Chevrolet Avalanche that belonged to Heuermann. The vehicle was described by an eyewitness and linked to the disappearance of one of the victims, according to the report.

Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said, “Rex Heuerman is the devil that roams among us, the predator that ruined families,” according to the report.
Heuermann reportedly broke down in tears during his appearance in court and claimed his innocence. He has been held without bail, but an investigation into a fourth death in which he is the prime suspect is ongoing.
“This man was quiet and didn’t bother anyone,” said Heuermann’s neighbor Etienne Devilliers, according to NBC.
According to another NBC, Houermann also researched sadistic torture-related pornography and conducted more than 200 online searches specifically to name victims for updates on the “Long Island serial murders.” It is said that report.
