It escalated quickly.
If the Philadelphia 76ers don’t fight for a championship in the near future, Joel Embiid may end up trusting the process.
when I type his 8th season With the Sixers, Embiid won the 2022-23 NBA Most Valuable Player award, and Philadelphia are eyeing his next move.
“I just want to win a championship. Whatever it is,” Embiid said in an interview with Maverick Carter at the Uninterrupted Sports Film Festival. “I don’t know where it will be. I just want the chance to make it, whether it’s in Philadelphia or anywhere else.”
“I want to know what it feels like to win the first game, and then I can think about the next one. It’s not easy, but you need one, two, three or more people. I myself work hard every day to reach that level, to create it and to be able to make it happen. So I work towards that every day.”
I didn’t expect Joel Embiid to say “or anywhere else” when talking about championships…he’s nearing a breaking point here in Philadelphia. pic.twitter.com/0MqXX1rnrT

From MVP wins to “elsewhere” talk…it’s crazy how quickly things change in the NBA.
And the way I see it, this must be totally related to the James Harden situation. What else did he say like this? (Related: Report: James Harden opted into current deal, set to work with traded 76ers)
Philadelphia better hope Harden comes back or it might be bye bye soon Joel.
