Police Arrest Man Whose Wife’s Body Parts Were Found In Garbage Bags, And He Pulls Out A Gun

A Michigan man allegedly murdered his wife, mutilated her body, put her body in a garbage bag and left it in a bathtub, holding police at gunpoint, according to local media.

On Saturday night, Burton police officers were called to a Kingslane apartment for a welfare check, where they found the body of Tony Roy’s wife, Shauna Roy (WMEN). reportsaid, citing law enforcement sources. Tony, 44, is accused of murdering his wife, dismembering her body and fleeing the scene.

Police then launched an investigation into Tony’s whereabouts. according to WJRT. After obtaining a warrant on July 17, police found Tony driving on Telegraph Road within Detroit city limits that night.

WNEM reported that authorities held a traffic stop to arrest Tony. The newspaper said police found him with a gun and with another woman.

WNEM reported, citing Michigan State Police, that several officers opened fire as Tony aimed his gun at the female passenger. According to the newspaper, the man was confirmed dead at the scene, and the woman next to him suffered minor injuries. The WJRT reports that the officers who shot Tony took administrative leave as standard procedure in such situations. The Detroit Police Homicide Division is actively investigating.

The Daily Caller contacted the Detroit Police Department. The ministry declined to comment at the time of writing.
