verde valley news – Yavapai University Prescott Art Gallery will host a pre-exhibition of Art in the Pines Artists, featuring landscape and nature paintings by 16 artists from across Arizona.
Participating artists were selected from dozens of candidates. Art in the Pines: The 4th Annual Prescott Plain Air Festival, From 24th to 27th August 2023.
A pre-event to the Plain Air Festival, the exhibition, which runs from August 10-20, will feature up to three paintings by each artist for sale, and will include an online charity auction of artist-donated paintings. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the YC Student Art Prize and the Outer Light Festival Awards.
Featured artists include Carol Bennerley, Betty Carr, Cindy Carrillo, Tom Connor, Priya Drew, Lydia Gazzo, Terry Gay, Russell Johnson, Kathy Krieger, Gretchen Lopez, Beth Okrokshi, Ken Ottinger, Dorothy Wray, Eric Slayton, Dawn Sutherland and Johnny Tanner.
- The closing reception will be held on Friday, August 18th from 5-7pm.
Pre-exhibitions and closing receptions by Art in the Pines artists are free and open to the public.
