‘Who Allowed This To Happen’: Olympic Medalist Blasts Men Competing In Female Sports

Former Olympic swimmer Sharon Elizabeth Davis blasted biological men who identify as transgender participating in women’s sports when she appeared on the TRIGGERnometry podcast in July.

Women’s sports equity activist Riley Gaines tied for fifth place in the 2022 University of Pennsylvania women’s 200-yard freestyle against biological male Leah Thomas. Thomas also beat the female competitors by: 1.75 seconds in the NCAA Championship. Thomas’ competitive success in the women’s category sparked a heated debate over the participation of men in women’s sports.

“Every day I wake up and think, ‘How is this place?'” How did this happen? Why did this happen? Who allowed this to happen? And why are people so scared when there’s no science to support that it’s fair to let male past puberty participate in women’s sports?” Davis said. A 2019 study in Sweden found that even after 12 months of hormone therapy, biological men still have an advantage over female athletes in sports.

“The truth is that they have a male body and that will never change. I’m a man.”

“Once a man hits puberty, he can’t thaw a hard-boiled egg,” Davis continued.

Thomas was ranked No. 462 when he competed on the men’s team, but quickly rose to No. 1 on the women’s team.

“So, a very mediocre male athlete has become a very elite female athlete, and all elite female athletes who have spent ten years of their lives at great cost are expected to retire.”
