According to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, a robbery in Donny Park ended Thursday with a police shooting.
The robbery suspect, identified as Eric Adamson, a 32-year-old man from Peoria, was shot dead at least once after officers said he physically attacked a deputy who tried to handcuff him.
The CCSO released edited body camera footage of the incident via Facebook.
Shortly after 3:10 am on Thursday, the CCSO was notified of the robbery. At Hidden Hill Road, a representative responded to a call that someone had broken into their home through a broken window.
The caller told police the suspect was being held at gunpoint. By the time police arrived, the suspect jumped out a window in an attempt to flee the scene.
Police officers at the scene determined that the caller was not injured and began searching for the suspect.

Sergeant Jess Payne found Adamson just west of the house he allegedly broke into.
Footage released by the CCSO shows Payne getting out of the police car and shouting orders to Adamson. He approaches the suspect alone.
Payne says in the tape: “Turn around, turn away from me, and walk backwards where you can hear me. Do it now!”
At first, Adamson appears to be cooperating with the lieutenant. And as the police approached to handcuff him, Adamson jumped to his feet.
A CCSO statement said the suspect attacked a deputy who tried to strangle him. The suspect attempted to jump on Payne’s back, eventually grabbing his undrawn mission weapon.
Body camera footage shows the officer yelling “Get off” and firing a gun.
Adamson was taken into custody and paramedics were dispatched to the scene. Meanwhile, officers applied a tourniquet to his left arm to stop the bleeding.
In the edited tape, Payne said he fired the gun twice, leading to rumors that the suspect was shot in the rib. The nature of the suspect’s injuries is not yet known, but he is in a stable condition and was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center.
Upon his release, Adamson will be held in the Coconino County Jail on several felony charges.
Ms Payne was examined by paramedics at the scene but suffered minor injuries. A veteran who served the sheriff’s office for 11 years has been put on temporary leave pending an investigation.
The investigation will be conducted by the Northern Arizona Multi-Agency Employee Involvement Shooting Team, a group of specially trained detectives from the CCSO, Flagstaff Police Department, and Northern Arizona University Police Department.
