SAN LUIS, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of San Luis arrested the driver before he entered Mexico.
A press release said the arrest was related to an unreported seizure of currency. $105,000 in alleged drug money, to be exact.
In addition, officers conducting routine inspections pulled the 31-year-old Jeep Wrangler driver off the road for further inspection.
After a physical search, officers found $105,000 in suspected drug money near the vehicle’s fuel tank.
Officers then seized the cash and arrested the driver.
