Tucson weather includes more rain but it’s not lasting long

TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) — It may have rained this week, but that doesn’t mean the highs will drop below triple digits.

The high today in Tucson is about 105 degrees, so hopefully you’ll bring some sunscreen.

A few locations in the Tucson metropolitan area barely escaped triple digits, but places like the Abra Valley hit highs of 105 degrees.

But I saw a lot of late ’90s folks in a few places in Cochise County.

Luckily, the Tucson metropolitan area was covered by clouds and we were able to see it over the Catalina Mountains, especially Mt. Bigelow.

A short while ago, rain fell from northern Arizona and hit parts of southern Arizona. A few sprinkles also fell on the east side of Tucson.

It won’t rain until tomorrow and will mostly stop by Tuesday. This really helps the temperature drop to about 89 degrees at 9pm in Tucson. It will reach 74 degrees in the early morning.

But tomorrow in Tucson, temperatures are set to soar to 99 degrees. Although it will not reach the triple digits, the temperature will continue to rise after tomorrow. Thunderstorms are expected in southern Arizona tomorrow, so don’t forget your umbrella.

Temperatures will rise further in the Sierra Vista from tomorrow, reaching 99 degrees both days next weekend.
