Cody James Murdoch of Duncan, Arizona, rode through the gates of heaven surrounded by his family at Tucson Medical Center on Friday, July 28, 2023. he was only 30 years old.
Cody was born on June 30, 1993 in Cottonwood, Arizona to parents JR and Dusty Joe Murdoch. He was survived by his parents. His brother and sister-in-law, Brian Murdoch and Briana Murdoch of Camp Verde. his nieces Addison and Ella Murdoch; Warren Murdoch, his nephew. His grandparents Randy Bruce and Susie Bruce of Camp Verde, Mike Maggetrick of Duncan, and Frank and Jane Wright of Camp Verde. his uncles, aunts, cousins ​​and extended family.
Cody was loved by everyone who knew him. His bright smile was contagious and you left Cody better than when he found you. Cody loved being a cowboy and he never hesitated to chase wild cows or stop and raise calves. He was kind and gentle at heart.
Cody enjoyed hunting, team roping and spending time with family and friends. Cody was everyone’s friend. You will remember his smile, his funny words, his quirky storytelling, and his love for his family and friends.
Cody is predeceased by his grandfather, Frank Murdoch. his grandmother, Mary McGetrick; and his cousin, Susie Tasa.
A ceremony commemorating his life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Duncan’s Greenlee County Fairgrounds.
