Alan Dershowitz, a professor emeritus at Harvard University, said Wednesday that the unsealing of documents related to deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein disproves the allegations against him.
A federal judge on Wednesday night unsealed documents related to the case against Epstein. Mr. Epstein, who had ties to many powerful people, including Prince Andrew, committed suicide while awaiting trial after being arrested on sex charges in 2019. “Once all these documents come out, it will be clear that she misidentified me and that I have never met her, never heard of her, never talked to her. It will be proven, and I can prove it by independent means,” Dershowitz told the Fox News host. Sean Hannity. “I have all my travel records, I have all my TV appearances, and I can prove that there was no way I could have been near any of the people involved in this case.”
Virginia Giuffre, who was trafficked by Epstein, was arrested in November 2022 as part of a legal settlement with Dershowitz's lawyers after she was accused of sexual assault by Dershowitz in 2014. He said he may have misidentified the defendant.

“I was Epstein's lawyer, and of course I flew on Epstein's plane with Ken Starr, Roy Black, and other lawyers,” Dershowitz said. “We flew to meetings with U.S. attorneys and state attorneys. So people have to be very careful about what they believe and when it happens. For example: As soon as Epstein's true identity was discovered, I completely ended my personal relationship with him, but maintained my legal relationship with him. I have represented some of the worst people in the world. I did and will continue to do so. That is my life.”
Dershowitz has repeatedly strongly denied allegations of wrongdoing.
Dershowitz said of his decision to represent Epstein: “I spent the worst years of my life being accused of a crime I was not guilty of.'' “I got canceled at the 92nd Street Y at Temple Emanuel, but she eventually admitted that she might have confused me with someone else, so obviously things got a lot better.”
“Of course, this revelation has put my name in the headlines again, but I have never been afraid of it, because I have nothing to fear, nothing to be ashamed of. I didn't do anything wrong,” Dershowitz continued. “Would I do it again? Not if I knew I was going to be accused of something I wasn't guilty of, but I've represented far worse people. I've represented murderers and done terrible, terrible things. It's an important part of our system. If I don't do it, who will?”
