Rage Against The Machine Devastates Fans By Revealing They Will Never Play Live Again

Legendary rock band Rage Against the Machine surprised fans on Thursday by announcing they would never perform live again.

The band announced the news by posting a statement on their Instagram page, along with an apology to their loyal fanbase.

Rage Against the Machine previously postponed their reunion tour to 2023 after frontman Zack de la Rocha sustained an on-stage injury. “So, despite some information that something like this might happen in the future…we would like to inform you that RATM (Tim, Zach, Tom, and I) will not be touring or performing live again.” writes drummer Brad Wilk.

The band said their goal was to be as honest with their fans as possible.

“I know many people are waiting for the announcement of new tour dates for all the canceled RATM shows. I don't want to lock people or myself in any more chains,” the 55-year-old drummer said. he wrote in a social media post.

The band, made up of Wilkes, De La Rocha, Tim Commerford, and Tom Morello, has been entertaining listeners with their edgy alternative rock style since 1991 and has amassed a devoted following. Rage Against the Machine was on hiatus from 2000 to 2007 and from 2011 to 2019.

There was no prior indication that the band would cease performing permanently.

“I'm so sorry to everyone who was waiting for something like this to happen,” Wilk wrote. “I really hope so.”

The famous drummer offered a heartfelt apology in the caption of the post.

“From the bottom of my heart…thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far,” he wrote.

After hearing the news, fans flooded the comments section with various messages.

“Damn, you guys must really hate money!!” 😢,” one person posted.

“Oh Brad. I'm disappointed to hear this. I hope you all are okay,” another wrote.

“I'm a big Brad fan, but where did the Rage we were all crazy about in the 90s go?” Despite its morals and message, Rage now seems to be a machine driven by inflated egos and money. .
