Driver from Yuma dead from off-road accident on Christmas | Yuma

Yuma – Yuma’s sheriff’s office is investigating the death of one person on a Christmas off-road trip. The crash occurred in the Avenue D and County area.

According to police, the driver of the Can-Am Maverick X3 was driving through a desert area when he lost control during a turn. Gang-Am then rolled to a stop and pinned the ejected driver.

Can-Am driver Kenia Pardo Arreola, 21, of Yuma, Arizona, was found dead at the scene.

The Can-Am passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was not injured. Authorities said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet.

This case is still under investigation. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this clash.
