DOUGLAS, Ariz. (KVOA) — Multiple schools and some government agencies are delaying start times due to dangerous weather conditions.
On Monday, Jan. 8, schools in the Douglas Unified School District and Sierra Vista Unified School District will start a few hours later.
According to DUSD, school begins at 9 a.m. and breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m.
The school district says the bus route will depart at 7:30 a.m.
SVUD announced that all schools in the district will delay start times by two hours.So Buena starts at 9:20am, elementary school starts at 10am and JCMS starts at 11am
Elgin Elementary School in Santa Cruz County also just called News 4 Tucson to let them know it will be permanently closed on Monday, January 8th.
Additionally, Cochise County has reported that all county offices and courthouse offices will open later tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
This includes stores in Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Douglas, Wilcox and Benson. The latest information can be found at the following site: Facebook page.
