Coach Bruce Pearl and his Auburn Tigers moved from No. 25 to No. 16 in the Associated Press poll after Saturday afternoon's 83-51 road win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The loss to Arkansas was Bud Walton's biggest loss in history, but Auburn got off to a great start in the conference playoffs, finishing with road losses to Baylor (No. 12) and Appalachian State to finish the season with 12 wins. There were 2 losses.
Chad Baker-Mazara, a junior college transfer from Auburn University, became one of the Tigers' top performers and had an impressive SEC debut with 14 points in the first half.

Auburn will play Texas A&M next, and there's a lot at stake as Auburn has lost eight of the last 10 meetings with the Aggies dating back to the 2015-16 season.
Texas A&M finished second last year and is expected to contend for a conference title this season under Buzz Williams, but got off to a rough start with a 9-5 record. The Aggies are coming off a 15-point loss at home to LSU last weekend in a matchup in which A&M was favored by 12 points.
College football season is coming to an end, and college basketball season is starting to heat up.
