The Alabama Farmers Federation has endorsed attorney Brian Brignjak for the 16th District of the Alabama House of Representatives. This seat was vacated by the recent resignation of Congressman Kyle South, who accepted a leadership position with the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce. The district covers all of Fayette County and parts of Tuscaloosa and Jefferson counties.
“Brian Brignac is well known in this area for his public service as an attorney and municipal judge,” said Jim Lavender, president of the Tuscaloosa County Farmers Federation. “We know he will provide the same level of leadership as Montgomery to represent the needs of the people of House District 16.”
Brignac received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Alabama. He is the municipal judge for Brent, Centerville, Tuscaloosa and Woodstock. He is a partner attorney with Mr. Brignac and Mr. Fredrick. He is also a member of the Alabama Black Belt Conduct Committee, the District Judge Study Committee, and the Tuscaloosa Bar Association.
“We are honored to have the support of the Alabama Farmers Federation,” Brignac said. “We share the same conservative values and look forward to serving them and all the people of House District 16.”
Brignac has five adult children and is a member of Northport Church of Christ.
The general election for House District 16 will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
