TUCSON, Ariz. (13News) – A teenager was killed in a three-vehicle crash near La Chola and McGee in Pima County late Wednesday, Jan. 10.
According to the Pima County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened in La Chola, north of McGee, around 7:30 p.m.
PCSD said the first vehicle involved may have been traveling through La Jolla without headlights. The second vehicle was traveling in the opposite direction and turned left into the path of the other vehicle. The third vehicle was hit by debris on the road and was unable to drive.
PCSD said 18-year-old Gael Carrasco, a passenger in the first vehicle, died at the scene. There were three other people in the vehicle. One driver was seriously injured. Two other people were also injured, but their injuries were not life-threatening.
Two people in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries. The occupants of the third vehicle were not injured.
