Prescott Valley senior living facility rooms evacuated after water leak

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. — Yavapai County emergency crews said a guest room at Attivo Senior Living Center in Prescott Valley was evacuated Friday after drywall collapsed due to a sprinkler leak.

The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Department initially reported a “serious incident” at the scene around 1:30 p.m.

Brian Siebert, principal of Insight Living, the company that owns and manages the facility, said the roof did not collapse as originally reported.

He said sprinkler heads above some rooms froze and began leaking.

The Senior Living Center is located near Glassford Hill Road and Long Look Drive, just east of Bradshaw Mountain High School.

The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Department said 74 people had to be evacuated but were able to “immediately evacuate” to another area of ​​the center.

According to CAFM, no injuries have been reported at this time.

The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Department is asking residents to avoid the area as work continues on the scene.

It is unclear how much damage the building sustained or how long it will take to repair.
