Former NFL linebacker Ronald Powell, who played for the New Orleans Saints, has died, the NFL Players Association announced Tuesday. He was 32 years old.
NFLPA's retired player accounts announced PowellX passed away. They did not mention his cause of death.

according to rivalPowell was the No. 1 prospect in high school football and went on to attend the University of Florida, where he played three campaigns (2010-13) for gators. He missed the 2021 season due to a torn ACL.
After a college football career, he moved on to the NFL and was drafted by the Saints in the 5th round of the 2014 draft. He played in 14 games and recorded two tackles in his rookie season. He was released before the start of the 2015 season, but was not picked up and ended up on New Orleans' injured reserve.

In September 2016, Powell was signed to the Chicago Bears' practice squad, and three months later he was picked up by the Seattle Seahawks and joined their practice squad. However, he did not play for either franchise.
Powell signed a contract with the Orlando Apollos before the 2019 campaign, but it was terminated before the Federation of American Football suspended operations.
