Mike McCarthy has been given another season at Jerry's World, courtesy of Lord Jones.
Three days after the Cowboys were eliminated from the NFL playoffs. A crushing defeat 48-32 McCarthy and his staff held a farewell press conference with the rest of the team when they played the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Round. However, it is now known that McCarthy will remain at least through the 2024 campaign, the final year of his current contract.
As the boys' head coach, McCarthy has amassed a 42-25 record, featuring three consecutive 12-win seasons, including two NFC East championships. However, his success in the postseason was quite the opposite, as he posted a 1-3 record and became the head coach of the Cowboys, who failed to advance Dallas past the divisional round for the sixth straight year.

For Mike McCarthy, this must be bittersweet.
Yes, he has one more season as the Cowboys' head coach, but it's also his last chance to do something in Dallas and keep his job. Talk about pressure.
And for me it was a disappointment…I personally wanted to see Bill Belichick coach the Cowboys. (Related: Truly embarrassing: NBC deletes Houston Texans' CJ Stroud praising Jesus)
