Kiffin in Tuscaloosa: Recruiting? Trolling?

In the coaching world, no one is more active on social media than Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.

The exodus of players continued in the days after Nick Saban announced his retirement after 17 years leading the program. This is mainly new NCAA rules If a coach leaves a university, the player has an additional 30 days to enter the transfer portal.

Wednesday was Alabama's worst day yet, with the loss of star freshmen Caleb Downs and Kaydin Proctor, and more bad news likely to come.

In the middle of a tough day in Alabama, Kiffin was in town, seemingly adding fuel to the fire.

Of course, it's entirely possible that Kiffin was simply passing through Tuscaloosa on another recruiting trip. Or maybe someone else sent you the photo.

Either way, this is a not-so-quiet jab at Alabama as the program is at its lowest point in recent history.

It's no secret that Kiffin wanted the job at Alabama, and reading his posts over the past week, it doesn't seem like he's really trying to hide it either.

Kiffin, who replaced former University of Washington head coach Karen DeBoer, has certainly made his feelings known to Alabama.

Kiffin has never beaten Nick Saban in his career. But with Ole Miss looking better than ever during Kiffin's tenure, the Rebels have a great chance to contend for an SEC title in 2024.
