New York City police arrested a suspected stalker who allegedly tried to break into Taylor Swift's Tribeca apartment on Saturday.
An NYPD spokesperson said officers responded to a call about a “person with a disability” on Franklin Street. “Upon arrival, [police] We were informed that the individual attempted to open the door of a building at that location,” the officer was quoted as saying. Page 6. According to the report, the suspect had an active warrant and was immediately arrested. Initial reports suggest Swift was likely inside his home at the time.

Police could not immediately confirm that the man had tried to enter Swift's residence. Additional information was provided by a witness who claimed to have seen the incident unfold.
“The first time I saw him was around 1 p.m. He walked up to Taylor's door,” the witness said, reported Sixth.
“I don't know if he knocked on the door or rang the doorbell.”
The witness also claimed to have seen a man searching the area of Swift's apartment “several weeks prior” to the incident, according to the newspaper.

Witnesses claimed to have seen several police cars at approximately 1:45 p.m. and saw police talking to the stalker suspect “for several minutes before he was handcuffed” (Page 6).
Witnesses said the situation proceeded peacefully.
“It was all very common. He didn't resist. There was no screaming or anything,” an eyewitness told Page Six.

The man has shaggy brown hair and was wearing a tan hoodie, khaki pants, a dark blue jacket and tan gloves when he was taken into police custody., According to the outlet. (Related: Report: Judge grants restraining order to Billie Eilish to protect loved ones from stalking allegations)
The man's identity has not yet been released.
