Police Charge Naked Man Who Allegedly Killed Mom, Dog Over Witchcraft: REPORT

Police on Thursday charged a naked man suspected of killing his mother and her dog with witchcraft, according to court documents and multiple media reports.

Tyler James Daisy has been charged with first-degree murder and animal cruelty after his mother, Jennifer Ann, and their dog were found dead in their home, documents state. KWWL report.

Police found Daisy “unresponsive” as she lay naked in her bedroom, documents reveal, according to KWWL. The dog was found dead on a couch in the living room, documents said. CBS 2 Iowa report.

According to court documents, Jennifer Ann's friend found her mother's body in her home and called police at 8:50 a.m., KWWL reported. The alleged victim reportedly suffered “significant” lacerations to her face, neck and head, and two fingers on one of her hands were severed, according to documents.

According to KWWL, police allegedly found a tactical tomahawk on a dining table while executing a search warrant. When Daisy was questioned by officers after being discharged from a local hospital, she reportedly said the tools belonged to her, according to the documents. According to KWWL, documents state that Daisy told police that her mother practiced witchcraft in her bed and that she had been practicing witchcraft for many years. Documents show the suspect called the 46-year-old victim a “prostitute” when officers asked him about his injuries, Iowa CBS 2 reported. According to KWWL, documents show that he declared his Miranda rights while police were questioning him about his mother's injuries. According to CBS 2 Iowa, Daisy shared her mother's address.

According to the newspaper, Daisy is scheduled to go to trial on January 19th.
