Tuba City girls basketball gets win over Alchesay | Navajo-Hopi Observer

TUBA CITY, Ariz. — The Tuba City Warriors have navigated competitive conditions this season in the heart of the 3A North division under the guidance of head coach Kim Williams. The team is currently 2-5 in the 3A North Division and 4-6 in the 3A Conference.

On January 6, the team faced the Alchesei Falcons in a regional game. The Warriors suffered a setback, losing 40-63.

In a fierce regional matchup, the Warriors suffered a 62-60 loss to the Monument Valley Mustangs on January 9th.

The Warriors bounced back and won a dominant 55-14 victory over the Hopi Bruins on January 11th.

In a close district game, the Warriors fell short, losing 39-46 to the Window Rock Fighting Scouts.

The Warriors faced another tough challenge in the region with a 36-49 loss to the Page Sand Devils on January 18th.

Ending on a high note, the Warriors showed their mettle and determination with a thrilling 59-55 victory over the Alchesei Falcons. The team will continue to strive for success as they navigate the remainder of the season.

Their next home game will be against Ganado on January 27th at 6pm.
