The Philadelphia Eagles' hierarchy hasn't played any games.
Offensive coordinator Brian Johnson has been fired from the drama-filled series, sources said. ESPNJohnson is the latest assistant fired from head coach Nick Sirianni's coaching staff, continuing the Eagles' deep cleaning.
Philadelphia itself has reportedly not made any official announcement regarding Johnson's status within the team. However, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday that Johnson will be fired as the Eagles' offensive coordinator after just one season. According to ESPN, the Birds fired both defensive coordinator Sean Desai and defensive playcaller Matt Patricia, resulting in a dizzying staff shakeup led by Sirianni — frankly, a disaster for Philadelphia. After such a disappointing ending, Sirianni was lucky that nothing like this happened – his season fell apart. But it's definitely very unsettling, so you better believe he's feeling the effects.
It also confirms, at least from my perspective, that Sirianni is one year away from potential firing and his leash is much shorter.
Then there’s this…

I'm screaming it right now: Philadelphia will miss the playoffs next season and Nick Sirianni will be fired.
