Video Captures Moment Car Smashes Into State Trooper And Pulled Over Vehicle

Oklahoma authorities on Thursday released dashcam video showing the moment a car collided with a state trooper during a routine traffic stop in early January.

of video Officer Jesse Gregory is shown questioning the driver through the passenger side window as another car crashes. The impact of the collision caused the trooper to fly into the air and fall backwards. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said in a Facebook post that Gregory is expected to make a full recovery. “Oh my god! I'm glad he was on the passenger side. It probably saved his life!” one Facebook user commented. “People would think there would be a little more.” [careful] when approaching a traffic jam. Move to another lane, or at least proceed cautiously. ”

In a Facebook post, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the video was “hard to watch” but was being shared “as a graphic reminder of the consequences of distracted and obstructive driving and the importance of driving slowly and disregarding the law.” Ta. post.

The Highway Patrol said in a Facebook post that it is in the midst of a campaign to honor the trooper and highlight the dangers of distracted driving. Nicholas Deeswas killed in 2015 after being hit by a car.

Another Facebook commenter said: “Too many people text while driving! I see it all the time and it makes me so angry!”

Two other people involved in the accident were treated and released, according to a Facebook post.
