Is 2024 off to a tough start? Well, as we head into the weekend, I'd like to cheer you up by talking about the latest ratings on CNN. Trust me, you'll enjoy it.
You may have heard Tuesday that something called INSP, a cable network that primarily airs the History Channel and old westerns, beat CNN in mid-January. evaluation. This isn't the first time CNN has taken a backseat to the History Channel, best known for John Wayne movies and “Ancient Aliens.” In 2018, right in the middle of former President Trump's midterm elections, CNN took a backseat to History Channel.
according to the numbers analyzed On Monday, CNN's Vice President Kamala Harris' interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, “The Laura Coates Show,” drew just 72,000 viewers in the key 25-to-54 demographic, reported by the New York Post on Monday. And personally, since I know a little about how this data is measured, this 72,000 views of her came from All Planet Her Fitness and the TV screens fixed to the walls of the airport terminal. I am sure.

Given CNN's longevity, there is no excuse for its disastrously low ratings. My gut feeling is that the reason people don't watch CNN hosts is because they never say or do anything that would interest anyone.
For example, consider NewsNation, a relatively new network. Their show focuses on answering real questions from a wide variety of Americans. It's no wonder their numbers are steadily increasing, but this must be a sore feeling for CNN, which basically handed NewsNation one of its biggest hosts, Chris Cuomo.
And Newsmax. Sure, Newsmax is an older network, but viewership has exploded in the last five years. And with “FRONTLINE” host Carl Higbee available to join the evening show, you can imagine things are only getting better for Newsmax. (Related: Newsmax host narrowly avoids censorship with epic monologue about people destroying your life)
Depending on how this year's election plays out, I wouldn't be surprised if CNN completely disappears in the next year or so. Without a complete rebrand, no sane person would ever trust the people at CNN again.
