A 1-day-old infant miraculously survived the shooting that killed his young parents near Los Angeles last September, authorities announced Thursday.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a report of a shooting on September 4th and found a baby in a car with parents Carlos Loera, 21, and Ashley Guzman, 18, and Officer Jamie Bennett in Harbor City. discovered. said at a press conference. Bennett added that 26 days later, a 17-year-old lost his life in a shooting just four miles from Harbor City. Just a few days later, on October 2, there was an additional shooting just two miles from Harbor City that reportedly left a 43-year-old man critically injured.
Los Angeles Police Department homicide detectives linked these three incidents, leading to the arrest of 20-year-old Dion Johnson of Wilmington on January 22nd.
