Protester Rips Up Nikki Haley Sign Right In Front Of Her At Campaign Event

At a campaign event in Conway, South Carolina, on Sunday, protesters tore down Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley's sign in front of her.

Ahead of the Feb. 24 South Carolina primary, Haley spoke to a room of supporters in her home state to discuss several topics, including war and national security. The incident was captured on video and Haley is seen tearing up a campaign sign and throwing it onto the stage after a heated exchange in which the man expressed dissatisfaction with her foreign policy stance.

“There will be no new wars. We are done with the military-industrial complex,” shouted an unidentified protester.

“None of us wants another war. None of us wants another war,” Haley said.

“We are tired of war. We want America first,” a demonstrator said.

After a protester threw a sign onto the stage, the crowd got louder, drowning out his continued shouting. (Related: 'Zombie power': Presidential candidates fail to warm up crowd with bizarre chants before DeSantis event)

Haley has faced criticism throughout the 2024 Republican primary over her stance on foreign conflicts. Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy called Haley a “RINO” who “hasn't been through a foreign war that she doesn't like.” Ramaswamy told Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson that the “bipartisan establishment” wants Haley as president to keep the “war machine” running.

Carlson personally criticized Haley, saying she would oppose re-election if Republican front-runner Donald Trump chooses her as his running mate. President Trump later dismissed the former U.N. ambassador as “not tough enough” to be chosen as vice president at a campaign rally in Concord, New Hampshire, on Jan. 20.

A video released days before the New Hampshire primary appears to show a military veteran confronting Haley over her campaign spending billions on political ads aired on liberal networks. .
