LW Wright, famous for cheating his way into the 1982 Winston 500 race, has died at the age of 76. He died on January 26th.

News of his death was shared in an article on January 28th. Scene Vault Podcast. He passed away around midnight at the Lois M. DeBerry Special Needs Facility in Nashville, Tennessee.Wright has been in prison ever since he was born. arrested He was indicted in February 2023 on multiple charges, including theft over $2,500, robbery, worthless checks, and evading arrest.
