A robbery suspect called police for help Wednesday after pooping in his pants while stranded inside a downtown high-rise, the Augusta News Agency reported.

Authorities said Thorne initially said he entered the building to escape two people who were trying to kidnap him, the Augusta News Agency reported. Authorities said Thorne allegedly opened a new cell phone on his office desk and used a fire extinguisher after entering the building.
The suspect later admitted that the kidnappers were never looking for him after police took him downstairs, the Augusta Press reported. Thorne was charged with attempted robbery, a felony. He was booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center because he was unable to pay $5,700 bail and remained there Sunday night, the newspaper said.
This is reportedly not the first time Thorne has faced bathroom-related charges in Aiken. He was fined $257 in November 2022 for public urination, the newspaper said.
