OSBI agents have made arrests, with one suspect facing one count of murder and another of child neglect for the disappearance of four-year-old Athena.
CYRILLE, Oklahoma — Authorities said Monday, Jan. 16, that the investigation is now a “recovery operation” to find Athena’s body and the search is still ongoing.

According to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), the search began around 2 p.m. on Jan. 10 after a postman contacted Cyril Police.
The OSBI has announced that Alysia Adams has been arrested on two counts of child neglect. Authorities say these accusations stem from two sisters who were “in the care of her and her husband.” Adams faces two of her Child Neglects.
A second caregiver, Ivon Adams, was arrested in Arizona on Friday and faces one count of first-degree murder and one count of child neglect.
The OSBI said these were mere accusations, that neither party was convicted of crimes related to this investigation, and that they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Police said the girl’s biological parents were cooperating with investigators.
Police are asking anyone who lives near the girl’s home in W. Nebraska and has a doorbell camera to go to Family Life Church and report it to authorities.
“Additionally, community members are encouraged to search for Athena on their property.” OSBI said. “Don’t self-deploy to look for anything other than your own property.”
