Yavapai College SBDC and Moonshot Az to Host Pioneer Pitch Competition

Yavapai College, Yavapai College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Moonshot Az are returning to Quad Cities as part of the 4th edition of the AZ Pioneer Pitch State-Wide Tour, an entrepreneurship competition similar to ABC’s Shark Tank. I am proud to be here. annual tour.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur with a moonshot startup idea or a seasoned founder looking to scale your business, attending an event will help you hone your business skills and move your business forward.

The final event will be held on February 24, 2023 at Yavapai College Prescott Campus.Application requirements azpioneerpitch.org/quad-cities Join by February 1, 2023 and simply send $35 to join. Here are the local prize packages for the top 3 winners:

  • 1st Place: $1,500, annual membership to the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, and a chance to enter the state-level competition in July.
  • 2nd Place: $1,000
  • 3rd Place: $500

Participants will not only compete for cash prizes and moonshot scholarships, but will also receive startup and pitch education led by SBDC Director Ruth Ellen Elinsky and her team of business analysts. The workshop will take place on February 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd from 5-7pm.

Competition continues to empower business owners, providing opportunities to learn new skills and strengthen the overall business. Participants will prepare, practice, and complete a five-minute pitch presentation for a panel of judges who will select the finalists. The winner of the Quad Cities Pioneer Pitch competition will enter the statewide competition for his $10,000 prize from sponsors, his Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and the Arizona Commerce Authority. The final event honoring his successful Moonshot entrepreneurs across Arizona will be in July 2023 at the Little America Hotel’s Flagstaff.
