Donald Glover confirmed Wednesday that a reunion film for the hit TV show “Community” is in the works.

The project was announced over a year ago, leaving fans at a loss waiting for an update. Glover was interviewed on the red carpet at the New York premiere of the movie Mr. Martin. & Mrs. Smith,” excitedly shared the news on Wednesday. entertainment tonight.

“I was literally texting today and they said the script was finished,” Glover said.

The famous actor admitted that he hasn't been sent the script yet, but just having it completed and ready for review was enough to get his fanbase excited.

“I haven't read it yet,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

His enthusiasm was enough to confirm that fans weren't the only ones eager for the return of “Community.”

“It's really just a matter of scheduling [but] I’m on board,” Glover said, noting his busy calendar and involvement in numerous projects.

“I'm fully committed,” said the actor who played Troy Barnes on the show.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the film will reunite Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and series author Dan Harmon.

McHale and Andrew Guest will also serve as executive producers on the project.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation of the start of filming or release date for the movie “Reunion.”
